Give the gift of life Wednesday, July 9 during the 8th Annual X103.9 Blood Drive and join Bobby Sato and the X Street Team in celebrating the best alternative—life. Visit Bobby Sato as he broadcasts LIVE 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Rancho San Antonio Medical Center. Other surprise DJ visits are expected throughout the day.
Donate blood and receive a special edition 8th Annual X103.9 Blood Drive T-shirt and entry into a GRAND PRIZE DRAWING for one of five $100 gasoline gift cards.
Participants will also be treated to a root beer float as our special thank you for saving lives. In addition, all participants will receive points as part of the “Gift of Life” Donor Loyalty Program that may be redeemed for items through the Blood Bank’s online store.

Leap for Life at the 9th Annual K-FROG Blood Drive
Join your favorite K-FROG DJs by giving the gift of life at one of the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties' five donor centers June 5-7, 2008 during the 9th Annual K-FROG Blood Drive.
Visit with Doug E. Frog from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at the San Bernardino Donor Center or join Hoppy and Toady as they broadcast "LIVE" 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. from San Antonio Community Hospital. Additional DJ appearances on Friday, June 6 include:
- Jimmy Hoppa, 10 a.m. to noon, Riverside Donor Center
- Christy McLeap, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., High Desert Donor Center

Blood Bank Hosts Car Show Blood Drive
Cruise in and save a life by giving blood during the Cruisin’ for Life Blood Drive, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the San Bernardino Donor Center, 384 W. Orange Show Road in San Bernardino, Calif. Participants will be treated to exhibits of more than 70 classic, custom and hot rod cars, along with dozens of classic and custom motorcycles. Donor photo I.D. cards Have Arrived!
Starting March 18, you can save time and gain recognition for your lifesaving donations with a BBSBRC donor photo I.D. card and key tag. At your first donation on or after March 18, you can have your photo taken when you register to donate. You must initially present another form of photo I.D. (e.g. Driver License) to have your Blood Bank photo taken. You’ll receive your card and key tag in the mail in 2-3 weeks. On your next visit, we’ll simply scan your card or key tag and pull up your information on our computer screen. No more registration forms to complete (unless there is a change to your information). No additional I.D. needed. (Donors 16 years of age must provide the Blood Bank with signed parental consent form and proof of age.)

PUBLIC URGED TO DONATE
The wildfires burning across Southern California have resulted in several mobile blood drives being cancelled.
Bloodmobiles from the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties are unable to reach mountain areas and the high desert due to severe weather and fire conditions. Six blood drives have been cancelled since Monday, resulting in a potential loss of nearly 500 units.

The Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties will host its Annual Recognition Event (Ten Gallon Donor Dinner) from 1-5 p.m. January 28, 2007 at the Riverside Convention Center. The event honors donors, donor clubs, corporate sponsors, blood drive chairpersons and other outstanding individuals. Scheduled to coincide with National Blood Donor Month, it is the Blood Bank�s largest event of the year, drawing donors, guests and supporters along with county, state and federal representatives. Burn patients from the Esperanza Fire have been transported to local hospitals and are in need of blood components for their treatment. Donations of all blood types are needed.
